NC Commercial and Business Insurance Services: Best Rates
As a citizen of the state of North Carolina, you undoubtedly understand the importance of insurance for your personal belongings. You carry car insurance, homeowners insurance, and life insurance to help keep yourself in a happy, healthy state.
But what about your business? What if a fleet vehicle got in an accident? What if a customer is injured on your property or your workers caused damage to their property? You must be just as proactive with your business as you are with your personal life.
Here at Elite Insurance, we make sure we offer the best coverage and rates with NC commercial insurance.
Following are some of our most popular commercial and business insurance services.
Commercial Trucking Insurance
Commercial trucking insurance is very similar to standard auto insurance, though additional coverage and higher premiums will be required. Like auto insurance, coverage is needed for liability, physical damage, and protection from uninsured/underinsured drivers. Additionally, coverage is needed for cargo.
Coverage Required:
Commercial Truck Liability Insurance
Physical Damage Coverage
Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage
Truck Cargo Coverage
This type of insurance covers not only the drivers but the business owners as well. No matter if you’re an entrepreneur or an established business owner, you need commercial trucking insurance if your business uses any sort of commercial truck.
This does not mean every policy is the same. We will work with you to create the insurance quote that best suits your trucking business’ needs.
Types of Trucks that Need Commercial Truck Insurance:
Trucks
Tow Trucks
Flatbed Trucks
Tank Trucks
Dump Trucks
Semi’s
Garbage Trucks
Car Haulers (See below for additional coverage requirements)
Commercial General Liability Insurance
Commercial general liability (CGL) coverage is the first level of protection to consider for your business. CGL coverage offers financial security of your business if you are found liable for any damages or personal injury caused by non-professional negligent acts.
Situations as such may be related to:
Workers cause damage to a property due to negligence
Protection in class-action lawsuits for advertising
Personal Injury on account of poor care of the property
Defense costs
Each business is different, which is why we help business owners customize insurance plans that best suit their specific and unique needs. For example, a real estate firm may not need the same coverage that handymen or landscapers do, and they should not be forced to pay the same premiums.
You can tailor your insurance quotes to cover the following:
Bodily injury and property damage
Personal and advertising injury (libel, slander, false arrest, copyright infringement, etc…)
Medical payments
Pollution liability
Directors and officers liability
Liquor liability

Commercial Hot Shot Insurance
Hotshot loads are classified as loads that are quickly loaded onto a truck as they are needed at another job site. These loads are typical in industries such as construction when equipment is moved from one job site to another quickly. You are required to have coverage before loading.
Brokers often require you to have at least $1,000,000 in liability insurance and will request at least $100,000 of cargo coverage. If you intend to cross state lines with a hot load, you will also be required to have a DOT and MC number.
We can work with you to customize this insurance policy to meet your exact needs. There are also steps you can take to reduce your premiums, such as attaining your CDL.
Commercial Auto Hauling Insurance
Car haulers are hard to find coverage for because they pose risks that traditional truck insurance companies may not be willing to cover. These additional risks are not solely limited to what may happen on the road, but because they are often targets for theft.
Below are some of the issues that haulers will need additional coverage on account of:
Theft
Damage to new cars
Clearance
While the cost of vehicles can vary greatly, it is not recommended that one invests in a premium that offers the lowest possible limits. It is recommended that you get at least a $250,000 cargo coverage limit.
This will ensure any damages to or theft of most cars is covered. We will also work with you to select the policy that best suits your needs based on the capacity of your trucks.
Commercial Auto Insurance
If your company provides any sort of auto transportation for its workers, you’re going to need commercial auto insurance. This form of auto insurance offers the same standard and optional coverages that a personal auto insurance policy does.
Commercial auto insurance offers liability coverage, physical damage insurance, bodily injury coverage, protection from uninsured/underinsured motorists, and can be tailored to provide more.
Policy quotes can vary depending on several factors, and we will work with you to create a quote that is perfect for your business.
Commercial auto insurance is for companies that use cars, light trucks, and vans. This policy is typically suited for the following business types:
Electricians, plumbers, and HVAC professionals
Carpenters, painters, and other contractors
Landscapers and plow services
Caterers and food vendors
Other business types, like real estate and sales
If you drive for Uber, Lyft, or a delivery service like Amazon Flex or Grubhub, you need rideshare insurance.
